Micro phosphating

Micro-phosphating can be employed for two different purposes:
- Surface protection against oxidation
- Preparation of the substrate for better adhesion of the adhesive

Our micro-phosphating process is based on the chemical conversion of the surface, using zinc and calcium phosphates.

Mainly used on ferrous materials, the micro-phosphating treatment creates a sort of “pebble” structure, formed by microcrystals which are extremely adherent to the material, thus forming a protective layer for the oxides and creating an ideal porous surface structure for the subsequent coating process.
